Thank you!

Hi Everyone-

I just wanted to send a quick note of thanks. We have made it to 26% of our goal in just one week. I am overwhelmed by all your support! My students and I are passionate about the work we do and we are so happy to be able to share that excitement with you all. We work in a truly spectacular place that so few people actually get to see. The photos and videos don't to it justice of course but at least you now know that this important community exists and that it is worth studying and conserving.

Thanks again!

Sybil

P.S. If this project gets funded and you are interested in joining us for a tree climb in Costa Rica, let me know!

About This Project

The tropical montane cloud forest provides important ecosystem services but is vulnerable to climate change. Within this ecosystem, epiphytes (non-parasitic plants that live on other plants) provide many resources but are vulnerable to drought. Changes in this community will likely affect the entire ecosystem. We will install cable-traverses & time-lapse videos to begin the first long-term monitoring program of this fascinating treetop community.
Blast off!
